Salem Nursing Home to Face Sanctions After Resident Commits Suicide: Report
State investigators say that workers failed to act on a note about the resident's suicidal thoughts, reports the Boston Globe.

SALEM, MA — A Salem nursing home will face sanctions following the suicide death of an 81-year-old resident after state investigators found that workers failed to take measures to prevent the death, reports the Boston Globe.
According to the Globe's report, Grosvenor Park Health Center will be facing sanctions for "a failure of action that resulted in "actual harm" to the resident." Investigators began probing the situation after the man shot himself at the Vinin Square nursing home on Aug. 26.
The Globe further indicates that it is not clear what type of sanctions the nursing home will face.

Grosvenor Park is owned by Synergy Health Centers of New Jersey, who stated screening for suicide risk and other mental health problems is an issue industrywide.
