Salem Police Make Heroin Arrest on Palmer Street
The following information was submitted by the Salem Police Department. Where arrests or charges are mentioned it does not indicate a conviction.

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
Tuesday, Nov. 12:
- At 6:53 p.m., police responded to a report of an undesirable on Lafayette Street. Robert C. Hourihan, 54, of the streets of Salem, was arrested on a charge of trespassing.
- At 9:40 p.m., police responded to a dispute between landlord and tenant on Albion Street.
Wednesday, Nov. 13:
- At 12:11 a.m., police responded to a report of a suspicious red pickup truck with its engine running on Essex Street. James M. Sullivan, 59, of 289 Essex St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, second offense.
- At 10:12 a.m., police responded to a trash picking complaint near the intersection of Cavendish Circle and Eclipse Lane.
- At 11:28 a.m., police responded to a report of a man walking around with a shirt on near the intersection of Derby and Lafayette streets.
- At 1:05 p.m., police responded to a dispute between landlord and tenant on Forrester Street.
- At 1:28 p.m., police located a woman known to have an outstanding warrant on Palmer Street. Starica Healey, 26, of 71 Palmer St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of illegally possessing of a class A substance (heroin) and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
- At 2:16 p.m., police responded to a report of a stolen motor vehicle on Hancock Street.
- At 4:41 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Harbor Street. Danielle L. Doucette, 23, of 77 Harmon St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license.
- At 5:25 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle near the intersection of Essex and Sewall streets. Robert E. McVann Jr., 63, of 77 Sohier Road, Beverly, was arrested on a charge of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license and for reportedly having an outstanding warrant.
- At 5:36 p.m., police responded to a past break-in on Lafayette Street.
- At 5:46 p.m., an officer disposed of hypodermic needles discovered on Gardner Street.
