Salem Police Make 7 Weekend Arrests
The following information was submitted by the Salem Police Department.

The following is an excerpt from the Salem Police Department's log:
Saturday, March 2:
- At 12:16 a.m., police responded to a reported fight on Herbert Street.
- At 12:57 a.m., police responded to a loud house party on Essex Street.
- At 1:42 a.m., police executed a search warrant for a motor vehicle on Margin Street.
- At 2:37 a.m., police stopped a motor vehicle on Pacific Street. Bryan M. Ortiz-Flores, 22, of 12 Langdon St., Salem, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle with a suspended license, subsequent offense and operating an unregistered motor vehicle.
- At 8:57 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Highland and Cherry Hill avenues. Peter J. Hachey, 32, of 2 East Garfield Ave., Beverly, was arrested on charges of operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of drugs (heroin), possessing a class A substance (heroin) and negligent operation of a motor vehicle.
- At 9:40 a.m., police received word that a motor vehicle had been damaged overnight while parked on Prince Street.
- At 10:34 a.m., police responded to a dispute on Pickman Road.
- At 11:38 a.m., a resident called police to report finding a large knife in the bushes on Norman Street. The knife was reportedly turned over to police.
- At 12:58 a.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Loring Avenue.
- At 3:17 p.m., police responded to a report of an out-of-control shoplifter at Crosby's Market on Canal Street. Roxanne E. Decoff, 54, of the streets of Salem, was arrested for reportedly having two outstanding warrants.
- At 4:07 p.m., police received a complaint regarding a man who was dancing and singing while listening to his iPod near the intersection of Essex and Washington streets.
- At 4:20 p.m., police responded to a reported fight on Herbert Street. Alexis S. Dimino, 25, of 8 Herbert St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of disorderly conduct.
- At 6:23 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Lafayette Street.
- At 6:42 p.m., the owner of Bob's Gun Shop on Boston Street called police to report that several shotguns stolen on Feb. 3 had been recovered by the Nashua, N.H. police.
- At 7:43 p.m., police responded to a report of a motor vehicle driving erratically near the Home Depot on Traders Way. Dana K. Turgeon, 42, of 573 Lowell St., Peabody, was arrested on charges of assault and battery, attempted murder, intimidating a witness, kidnapping, two counts of assault and battery on a police officer, operating a motor vehicle while under the influence of alcohol, resisting arrest and assault and battery with a dangerous weapon. - At 8:14 p.m., police conducted a well-being check on Kernwood Street.
- At 8:16 p.m., police stopped a motor vehicle at the intersection of Boston and Bridge streets. Aldo B. Lopez, 26, of 2 Brimblecom St., Lynn, was arrested on a charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
- At 11:40 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Dundee Street.

- At 1:01 a.m., police responded to a motor vehicle accident on Marlborough Road. A woman told police that she was driving on Marlborough Road when a group of deer ran out into the street. Click Here for the full story.
- At 4:02 a.m., police assisted Marblehead police officers with a loud house party on Green Street.
- At 10:03 a.m., police received word that a Marblehead Police Department vehicle had struck a dog that got away from its owner on Highland Avenue. The officer reportedly took the dog to the vet clinic to be treated for injuries sustained in the accident.
- At 10:45 a.m., a woman called police to report that her vehicle's tires were slashed overnight and a BB pellet had been shot through the window.
- At 11:07 a.m., police received a complaint about a possibly rabid skunk on Memorial Road.
- At 3:09 p.m., police responded to a domestic dispute on Congress Street.
Other arrest:
Julio E. Tavarez, 24, of 48 Endicott St., Salem, was arrested on a charge of conspiracy to violate a drug law and possessing a large knife.
