Salem Police Reschedule Cookout With A Cop With Resource Dog Derby

The event, which was postponed because of weather worries on July 2, has been rescheduled for July 24.

SALEM, MA — Salem families are invited to stop by and say hi to a neighborhood police officer — while also getting the chance to meet the community resource dog Derby — during the upcoming "Cookout With A Cop."

The event, which was postponed from July 2 because of potential weather, has been rescheduled for July 23 from noon to 3 p.m. at On-Point located at 50 Leavitt Street. The rain date is July 24.

The free, family-friendly event will include hot dogs, burgers, snacks, ice cream, games and fun, and of course, the Witch City's favorite little Golden Retriever.
