Salem Public Schools To Host Budget Priorities Forums

The district administration is seeking feedback from families and community members ahead of the budget proposal to the School Committee.

SALEM, MA — Salem Public Schools families and community members are invited to share their priorities for education in the district in one of two upcoming budget forums.

Superintendent Steve Zrike and Assistant Superintendent Elizabeth Pauley will host the public conversation on the budget during an in-person public forum on Feb. 15 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Salem High School and a virtual online forum on Feb. 28 from 6:30 to 8 p.m.

Stakeholders are asked to contribute their thoughts about programs and initiatives that should be prioritized in the year ahead.

Walk-ins are welcome for the in-person event but pre-registration for both can be done here.

Ideas will be compiled and used to help shape the budget that is presented to School Committee and then the City Council for approval.
