Salem Extends Blizzard 2026 Emergency Snow Parking Ban On Select Streets, Schools To Reopen

Police said temporary bans remain in place for snow-removal operations.

SALEM, MA — Many Salem streets were to continue to have snow emergency parking bans on Tuesday night as the citywide ban expires at 6 p.m.

Temporary parking bans are expected to last 1-2 more days.

"Regardless of whether parking on a street is restricted, you must leave enough room for emergency vehicles to pass — parked vehicles that obstruct emergency access will be towed," police said.
