Salem Residents Invited To Halloween 'Night Out' On Friday

The Mayor's Night Out will include downtown trick-or-treating, free parking for residents and free museum entry.

SALEM, MA — Salem residents are invited to head downtown and enjoy a night out in the city with some freebies not available to all those tourists in town this month.

The Mayor's Night Out is Friday night with downtown trick-or-treating, free museum admission for residents and free parking for residents.

Participating museums will be open with free entry to Salem residents beginning at 3 p.m. Photo proof of Salem residency is required. Students can use a school I.D. card, bus pass or Salem Public Library card.

Residents can also park for free after 4 p.m. at the Museum Place Mall Garage.

This year, residents will also be able to take a free fitness class at B&S Fitness at Shetland Park and receive a $10 discount at Whole Body Health in the Witch City Mall. Artist Row will host the Chagall Performance Art Collaborative and all the merchants on Artist Row will participate in the trick or treat.

Live music will be there from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.

Trick-or-treating will also occur at Pickering Wharf.

Mazow|McCullough, PC will be giving away free safety flasher lights at the East India Square Fountain across from the Peabody Essex Museum. Broad Smiles Pediatric Dentistry will be giving out toothbrushes and the Creative Collective will have a mural for family photos.

Masks will be provided for families trick-or-treating inside the Witch City Mall.
