Salem Scholarship Fund Applications Available

The scholarships for Salem residents graduating from high school are funded mostly through voluntary resident and business contributions.

SALEM, MA — Graduating Salem high school students who plan to extend their education are invited to apply for the city's Scholarship and Education Committee awards.

Applications are now available for the city's Scholarship and Education Committee's awards given each year to Salem High and Salem Academy graduates, as well as other graduating high school students who live in the city.

The scholarships are funded through voluntary donations from city residents, businesses and other stakeholders.

The one-page application can be found here and can be submitted electronically or by filling out the hard copy. Completed application packets are due by May 31.

Salem Mayor Tony Salvo and Superintendent Hank O'Donnell developed the scholarship program in 1987 that is funded through voluntary tax payments and other donations.
