Salem Schools To Hold 'Hiring Bonanza' Ahead Of New Academic Year

The district is looking to fill positions ranging from teachers to tutors to coaches to custodians at its Aug. 5 job fair.

SALEM, MA — Salem Public Schools is looking to fill dozens of open positions ahead of the new school year during a "Hiring Bonanza" set for August.

The first cross-district job fair will be on Aug. 5 from 9 to 11 a.m. and 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. at Collins Middle School (NOTE: This site is an update from a previous publication). Applicants will be treated to breakfast in the morning session and lunch in the later session.

School officials from the elementary, middle and high schools will be on-site to share what the district offers and answer questions. Potential applicants are encouraged to bring copies of their resumes.

"Learn more about Salem Public Schools and how you can be a part of a vibrant and inclusive school district," Salem Superintendent Steve Zrike said in a newsletter to the school community.

Salem Public Schools published more than 50 open positions during July ranging from administrative to teachers (both full-time and substitute), tutors, custodians and coaches.
