Salem Superior Court Building Development Public Comment
The Salem Redevelopment Authority will be collecting public comment at its meeting on Sept. 9.
SALEM, MA — The Salem Redevelopment Authority will be collecting public comment on its proposed restoration of the historic Superior Court and County Commissioners Building at its Sept. 9 meeting.
Interview sessions with each of the three development teams are scheduled for Sept. 15 and Sept. 17.
The development teams are charged with restoring, revitalizing and making plans for reuse of the building.

The redevelopment is part of a long-term plan to preserve these two building in downtown Salem, open them up to the public and put them back into public use. The SRA said the buildings represent Salem's legacy connected to issues of justice, represent the community's commitment to historic preservation and present an opportunity for creative ideas and innovation to take root and flourish in Salem.
