Salem Water Work Postponed Due To Rain

SALEM, MA — The potential water disruption scheduled for Wednesday was postponed one day due to Tuesday night's heavy rain.

The work in the Federal Street area has been rescheduled for 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. on Thursday.

Residents on and around Federal Street can expect water service interruption or discolored water.

The planned interruption is from Washington Street to the city's parking lot entrance. Those in surrounding areas may experience water pressure or discoloration issues.

Those who have brown water are asked not to turn on the hot water and run cold water until it becomes clear.
