SalemRecycles Will Hold 21st Book Swap On Saturday
The event promotes re-use and recycling of books, greeting cards and other commercial media items.
SALEM, MA - From City of Salem: On Saturday, March 16, 2019, SalemRecycles will host their 21st ever-popular free book swap from 10am to 1pm at the Salem Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street. In addition to finding new books and media treasures, as well as recycling items for others to enjoy, participants will be able to ask questions about recycling, reuse, and other ways to divert materials from the waste stream. Participants will also be able to take part in a reusable bag swap, so bring your unwanted reusable bags for others to take.

When and Where: Saturday March 16, 10am until 1pm, Mayor Jean Levesque Community Life Center, 401 Bridge Street, Salem

** Please no book dealers or more than two bags per swapper before noon **
Why: To promote re-use and recycling of books, greeting cards and other commercial media items (CDs, DVDs and videos). Please bring only clean, dry and mildew-free items. All leftover materials will be recycled or reused.

Drop-Off: Friday, March 15, 4:00 pm – 7:00 pm at the Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street or Saturday March 16th, 9:00 am – noon at the Community Life Center at 401 Bridge Street. Volunteers will be available to help. *** Please, no drop offs outside these scheduled times ***
Bring your excess books, greeting cards, reusable bags and commercial CDs, DVDs and videos. Items will be loosely categorized to help you in your hunt for free entertainment. All “unswapped” items will be recycled or reused.
