Salem's Haunted Happenings: 5 Things to Do This Weekend

Paraween UFO Festival, Derby Street Carnival and More.

SALEM, MA — We have one more weekend left before the "official" halloween weekend in Salem. However, there are still plenty of Haunted Happenings going on in the city.

Keep in mind, that Salem Police will have an increased presence in the city this weekend. Here are five things to do in Salem during the weekend of Oct.

Derby Street Carnival

The carnival will continue to roll on this weekend. Festivities run from 12 to 10 p.m. daily.

Paraween Mass UFO Festival

This Sci-Fi Halloween Event celebrates the first and only UFO incident to be inducted into state record as historically significant and true. The event runs from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Oct. 22

Murray Hall Haunted Film Festival

The event features a selection of silent films in Murray Hall accompanied by a live organ. It runs from 12 to 9 p.m. on Oct. 22

Bit Bar Cosplay Freakout

On Oct. 23 from 12 to 8 p.m., Bit Bar will hold a Cosplay event for contestants of all ages. After 8 p.m., the bar will be holding Sunday night karaoke.

The Eleventh Hour at the Fountain Stage

A live performance from the Eleventh Hour at the Fountain Stage Sunday at 2 p.m.
