Search Of Car in Salem Leads To Arrest, Drug Seizure

SALEM, MA — A 25-year-old Salem man is facing new drug charges after Salem Police found 23 grams of cocaine, more than 11 grams of heroin and more than $3,300 in his car. Police found the drugs in a car belonging to Alexander Jiminian, 25, of Salem, after having it towed because it was parked more than two feet from the curb on Peabody Street. Jiminian had recently been released from prison when he was arrested Thursday.

According to the Salem News, which first reported this story, a lawyer for Jiminian accused police of profiling him because of his past drug arrests. Jiminian pleaded not guilty when he was arraigned on Friday.
