Christopher Leclerc, 25, of Salem, is facing multiple charges, including assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

SALEM, MA -- A 25-year-old Salem who witnesses said was drinking on a MBTA commuter rail train and intimidating passengers is facing charges after being arrested Wednesday night. MBTA Transit Police assigned to Salem for its annual Halloween celebration were called to the commuter rail station, where witnesses pointed out Christopher Leclerc.
According to MBTA Police, Leclerc drew a knife and assumed a fighting position when another passenger told him to "calm down" and stop bothering other passengers at 6:45 pm Monday. Police arrested Leclerc and found the knife, as well as prescription medication in another person's name.
Leclerc was charged with assault and battery with a dangerous weapon and possession of a Class E drug.
