Two Injured In Salem Apartment Complex Fire

SALEM, MA -- A resident of the Fairweather Apartments on Highland Avenue and a Salem Fire fighter were hospitalized with unspecified injuries following a fire at the low-income housing complex Sunday afternoon. Salem Fire fighters responded to the call of a fire on the second flor of the multi-unit apartment tower at 3:20 pm.

Residents were evacuated from the building and the fire was quickly extinguished, according to the Salem News, which first reported this story. The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
