Watch A Thief Steal Donations For Salem Fire Victims [VIDEO]

A thief made off with a donation jar from a convenience store where several of the victims of Saturday's fire worked.

SALEM, MA -- Police are looking for a man who stole an estimated $300 in donations to victims of the Lynde Street fire in Salem on Saturday. Just before 6 pm Thursday night, a man grabbed a donation jar that had been set up at the cash register at the 24-7 E-Market on Norman Street.

Several men who work at the store lived at 12 Lynde Street, an apartment building that was destroyed in a fire on Saturday. More than a dozen people lost their homes as a result of the fire in the 12-unit apartment building. Investigators say the fire was likely caused by an electrical issue.

The video above shows a tall, thin white man pay for his purchase and then seemingly leave the store. When the clerk turns his back, he darts back, grabs the jar, and flees the store.
