Bomb Threat at Somerset Berkley Regional High School

Scores of police officers descended on the high school Tuesday morning.

SOMERSET, MA — Someone made a bomb threat against Somerset Berkley Regional High School Tuesday morning, police said.

School was delayed two hours as police officers searched the school. Nothing was found.

“Any threats to a school in our community will be taken seriously,” police said in a statement. “The Somerset Police Department will prosecute anyone jeopardizing the safety of the children trying to receive an education, whether it is done as a joke or not.”

Somerset police, State Police, the Southeastern Mass Law Enforcement Council, and local K-9 teams responded to the high school for the search.
