Good Samaritans Pull Man to Safety in Fiery Swansea Crash That Killed 2

State Police said the three victims were in a vehicle that crashed into a tree and burst into flames Thursday night.

Good Samaritans pulled a man to safety in a fiery Swansea crash Thursday night that killed two people, State Police said.

A young man and a young woman were killed in the crash, which happened on Route 195 at about 11:10 p.m. Their 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt veered off the road into the median, crashed into a tree, and burst into flames, State Police said.

Passing motorists saw the scene and helped another young man get out of the burning wreck, according to State Police. He was transported to Rhode Island Hospital with serious injuries.

None of the victim’s names were immediately released.

Police said they are investigating why the vehicle veered off the road.
