He was a veteran for the United States Navy, a member of the Republican Club, VFW, and an avid military history buff. He was the father of Laurie Ann DaSilva of Warren, RI, Melanie Ann Araujo of Fall River, David Araujo, Jr. (wife Nicole) of Clermont FL, Rebecca Padula (husband Jeff) of Northbridge, brother of Scott Bamford of Swansea, grandfather of Nickolas, Shaileigh, Noah, Carlos, Kenny, Haeli, Justin, Jordan, Avery, Emerson, Jacob, Dylan, great grandfather of Carlos and Kamdyn. His funeral will take place from the <a href="http://www.rogersfuneral.com" rel="noopener nofollow" target="_blank">Manuel Rogers &amp; Sons Funeral Home,</a> Inc. 1521 N. Main St., Fall River, Saturday at 10 a.m. with a Mass of Christian Burial in St. Michael's Church at 11 a.m.. Interment will follow in St. Patrick's Cemetery following cremation.
