Obituary: George X. Liebl

George X. Liebl, 90, of Swansea died on Saturday May 18, 2013 at Charlton Memorial Hospital in Fall River. He was the husband of 68-years to Jean E. (Gadbois) Liebl.

George was born in Brookhaven Long Island, NY the son of the late Francis X. and Hannah (Moodich) Liebl. He served his country during WWII with the United States Navy assigned to a PT boat. Mr. Liebl worked as a machinist for Teknor-Apex in Pawtucket for 37-years retiring in 1985.

Survivors are three daughters: Gail Ollerhead and her husband Doug of Warren, RI; Donna Liebl of Shelburne Falls,; Susan Dunn and her husband Robert of Lakeville, ; five grandchildren and eight great grandchildren whom dearly loved him; a brother: Daniel Liebl of Hadley, N.Y.; along with several nieces and nephews. He was the father of the late George-Ann Liebl and brother of the late William, John, and Raymond Liebl.

Calling hours for Mr. Liebl will be held on Tuesday morning from 10 a.m. to noon, followed by a prayer service and military hours at noon in the Hathaway Community Home for Funeral, 900 Buffinton St., Somerset. Relatives and friends are invited to attend, burial will be private at the request of the family.
