SHARON, MA — A Hanson woman was arrested after police said she stabbed three people with a machete at a Sharon hotel. Allison Maitland, 34, was charged with two counts of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon (serious injury), and one count of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon.

Around 1:28 a.m., Sunday, police were called to Best Western Plus Hotel on Old Post Road. Witnesses told police the stabbings happened after a heated confrontation in the parking lot, following a wedding. According to the police report, the fight began when a New York man and his two adult sons heard "a lot of sexual noises" outside a parked SUV that Maitland was in with a man. One of the brothers told them to "get a room," according to the police report.

Police said the man, later identified as Sean Perry, 35, of Hanson, and one of the brothers, got into a fist fight. The other brother tried to break up the fight and Perry was knocked to the ground, then Maitland jumped out of the SUV wielding a machete and attacked the three men, according to the police report.
