A Look Ahead: Two Art Shows Officially Open

Wednesday:

• The Sharon School Committee meets at 7 p.m. in the .
• The opening reception for the Sharon Creative Arts Association's exhibit at the Lakeside Gallery at the Sharon Adult Center and Council on Aging is from 7 to 9 p.m.

Thursday:

• The opening reception for "Captivating Landscapes – Visions and Views," the latest exhibit, is from 6 to 8 p.m.
• The Sharon Middle School cabaret is at 7 p.m.

Friday:

• Anne Carney will present "Why Are My Taxes So High?" the latest of the Conversations at the Meetinghouse, at 7 p.m. at the .

Saturday:

• The Sharon High School girls lacrosse team's annual car wash and bake sale runs from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Sharon High.Admission is $5 per car.

Sunday:

• The Sharon Friends of Conservation will lead a walk of Moyle's Quarry Trail at 2 p.m. The 1.5-mile walk is on relatively flat terrain. Participants should park at 580 Mountain St.
