Alleged Sharon Jewelry Thief Arrested
Michael Meade, 25, of Easton, was arrested Wednesday night.

SHARON, MA — A man who is alleged to have taken thousands of dollars worth of jewelry from a Sharon store is in police custody.
Michael Meade, 25, of Easton, was arrested Wednesday night and charged with malicious destruction of property over $250, breaking and entering with intent to commit a felony, and larceny over $250. He is being held on $25,000 bail, according to the Sharon Police Department.
Sunday morning, Meade allegedly broke into a local jewelry store and took several items, including thousands of dollars worth of jewelry. Police say they were able to find Meade thanks to tips received through social media posts.

Meade is scheduled to be arraigned Thursday morning in Stoughton District Court.
