Arrest Reports: Assault, Drunken Driving

January 14

12:47 p.m. - Police received a call from a local health care provider for a male who required a mental health evaluation. Prior to arriving, the individual had left the office and was uncooperative. He was located on North Main Street acting erratically and uncooperative.

As he was transported to the hospital by ambulance, the man allegedly spat in the face of on one of the officers.

Two officers were required to assist the fire department during his transport to the hospital. The suspect, whose name has not been released since he has not been charged with a crime, will be charged with assault and battery on a police officer at a later date.

January 15

3:31 p.m. - Police responded to a motor vehicle crash on East Foxborough Street. The driver of the vehicle, Sean Balfe, 21, of Mansfield, was arrested and charged with drunken driving, operating to endanger, and a marked lanes violation.

No injuries were reported at the scene.
