Attempted Kidnapping Reported at Motel in Sharon

SHARON, MA — Police are investigating an alleged kidnapping attempt that took place on Route 1 early Wednesday morning.

At about 3 a.m., Sharon police received a call from the Best Western Plus on Route 1 reporting the incident.. The female victim told police that she was outside when a white sedan, possibly with New York license plates, drove into the parking lot. Several men then attempted to pull her into the car, with one person allegedly grabbing her arm through an open car window, she said,

The victim was able to break free and run into the motel as the vehicle left. She suffered minor injuries. Police searched the area but were unable to find a vehicle matching the victim's description.

Police are investigating but note that there isn't been a similar incident in the area in recent years.
