Sharon High Class President Awarded Abby S. Zeitlan Scholarship

SHARON, MA (June 7, 2013) – Members of the Sharon community and surrounding towns are invited to the second annual Abby S. Zeitlan Memorial Scholarship Presentation, to be held Monday, June 10^th at 7pm at Triad Advertising, 1017 Turnpike Street (Route 138), Suite 32A, Canton, MA. This special evening will include a scholarship presentation to the winning student from Sharon High School, hors d’oeuvres, the chance to gather and celebrate Abby’s legacy.

This year’s scholarship will be awarded to Erica Pais, Sharon High Class of 2013 President. Erica is a young entrepreneur who plans to one day open her own bakery, after attending Colgate University. She is recognized for her leadership inside and outside the classroom, often baking and selling her signature cupcakes to benefit the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer.

The Abby S. Zeitlan Memorial Scholarship was established in 2012 to honor the life of Sharon resident Abby Zeitlan, beloved wife, mother of three, and business owner, who passed away unexpectedly on March 27^th, 2011.

Supporting and mentoring young men and women in business was a passion of Abby’s and a tremendous part of her life. It is for this reason Abby’s family, friends, and business partners created the Abby S. Zeitlan Memorial Scholarship. This merit scholarship is presented annually to a graduating senior from Sharon High School who demonstrates incredible leadership, creativity, an entrepreneurial spirit, and ability to think outside the box.
