Eat Fresh, Eat Local, EAT ORGANIC

Spring is finally here! The seedlings have been planted and will be growing into ripe delicious, mouth-watering vegetables and fruit throughout the summer. Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill Organic Community Farm in Sharon is preparing for the upcoming 2016 growing season and most notably, we are still the only certified organic CSA in the area! Organic vegetables and fruit really are more beneficial; they are more nutritious, safer and healthier. Our CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) partners with Ward's Berry Farm in Sharon and these summer shares can be purchased prior to the start of the season. There are still some shares available to purchase. Our vegetables are distributed to shareholders the same day they are harvested for maximum flavor and freshness. There is also a variety of Pick-Your-Own items, including fresh flowers and shareholders have the option to purchase fresh fish delivered from Gloucester.

We all want the best for ourselves and our family and the demand for organic farming, according to the USDA, has grown steadily each year. If you have ever thought about the value of organic and local produce, being a CSA farm member is a healthy and affordable alternative. Join us to learn more at the CSA Information Session May 26,Thursday from 6-7 PM at the Moose Hill Visitor Center, 293 Moose Hill Parkway, Sharon, MA. Visit www.massaudubon.org/moosehill or call us at 781-784-5691 for more farm details. Plan to become part of this healthy and amazing experience!
