2nd Annual "Miles for Liam" 5K For DMD Planned

The 2nd Annual "Miles for Liam" 5K walk/run for DMD is at 9 a.m. Sept. 25 at Napper Tandys, 46 Day St., Norwood.

Join 4-year-old Liam McGourty, the Muscular Dystrophy Association, the Norwood Fire Deparment and sponsors at the event.

Cash prizes will be awarded to the top three male and female runners, and medals will be distributed to winners in eight age groups.

The course starts and finishes at Napper Tandys in Norwood. Music, raffles, food and fun will follow the race.

In 2010, 200 people helped raise more than $7,000 to benefit MDA Duchenne research.
