Attend An Audition Workhop With Christine Kasparian

An audition workhop with Christine Kasparian will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Thursdays from Dec. 1 to Dec. 22 at the Sharon Community Center.

This workshop will focus on preparing for auditions. Topics of discussion will include preparing a monologue, picking the right song, preparing a resume and how to get the best headshot. Students will be able to work on their musical theater skills in a mock-audition setting. They will practice connecting with an audience, vocal technique, and preparing for performance in the musical theater. We will be learning about "callbacks" involving vocal sight-reading and cold reads, building a repertoire, and being comfortable on stage.

Students should bring any sheet music or monologue they would like to work on.

Kasparian has studied music and theater from Boston to Los Angeles. She has also put together multiple performing arts programs for kids across New England. She recently vocal coached NCP's Youth Program: Broadway Bound, Fiddler on the Roof at Sharon Middle School, and Joseph and the Amazing Technicolor Dreamcoat at the Leventhal-Sidman Jewish Community Center.
