Perduco Education Holds Guatemala Program Open House

Perduco Education will hold a Guatemala experiential learning program open house and information session for teens, from 7:30 to 9 p.m. Nov. 15 at 16 Chestnut St., Foxborough.

The adventure begins with a six-week introduction to Guatemala, where participants will learn about one of the 23 indigenous mesitzo groups of Guatemala, the Quiche Indian, through the eyes of Nobel Laureate (1992) Rigoberta Menchú Tum, and her literary work, "I Rigoberta Menchú: An Indian Woman in Guatemala."

This will be followed with an experiential learning adventure traveling to Antigua, Guatemala, where participants will attend Spanish language classes, engage in unique learning experiences with two Quiche Indian youth, Juana and Esteban, participate in a community service learning project with Escuela Proyecto La Esperanza, and explore local landmarks.
