Friends of Sharon Library Hold Cultural Field Trip

The Friends of the Sharon Public Library will offer a field trip to the Harvard Museum of Natural History from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. April 24, for a tour of the world-famous Ware glass flowers.

Admission is $25 for Friends members and $27 for non-members, with special group pricing.

The Blaschka Glass Models of Plants collection was created by German glass artisans between 1887 and 1936 to serve as a teaching collection, and it was donated to Harvard University by members of the Ware family. The life-size models include 847 species. The collection remains famous for its beauty and botanical accuracy.
