Happy Parenting Series

The Sharon Early Childhood Collaborative (SECC) was established during the 2011/2012 school year and is comprised of a group of Preschool Directors from The Children’s Center, the Sharon Cooperative School, Smart Steps School, Gilson JCC Early Learning Center, Hertz Nursery School, Jake’s Place, Striar Hebrew Academy, Preschool For Creative Beginnings, and the Sharon Public Children’s Library. The goal of the collaborative is to facilitate the partnership between families and educators in Sharon in an effort to promote success and engagement in early education from birth to age 8.

During the 2012/2013 school year, the SECC will be offering a variety of community-wide programs entitled The Happy Parenting Series. The first event will be a presentation by Anita Preble, a professionally-trained childcare specialist. The event will be held on Tuesday, October 23, 2012 at 7:00 p.m. in the Sharon Middle School auditorium.

Additional presentations will be scheduled in November, January, March, and May. A specific schedule of the future activities will be posted in the upcoming weeks. All presentations will be held in the evening. Childcare may be offered at some of the events.
