Moose Hill Wildlife Sanctuary will offer Mount Auburn Birding and Plum Island birding trips in May.
There will be a trip to Mount Auburn Cemetery in Cambridge at 6 a.m. Wednesday, May 9. The group will meet at Moose Hill and travel in the facility's van there and back again. The fee is $25 to $30.
A trip to the Parker River Wildlife Refuge on Plum Island will be held from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Wednesday, May 16. The fee is $35 to $40, and pre-registration is required. Participants should bring snacks/lunch, drinks, sunscreen, and binoculars.

Christine Turnbull will lead a casual walk and exploration for spring migrants and local nesting birds along Moose Hill's Billings Loop Trail at 6 a.m. Thursdays, May 3, 10,17,24 and 31. Birders of all abilities are welcomed. The program is free, although donations to the Bird-a-Thon are appreciated.
Patti Austin will lead an afternoon of fern identification and natural history exploration. Hand-outs will be provided to allow for continued learning. The fee is $10 to $15, and pre-registration required.

"Deer and the Forest, What’s Happening to Our Plants?" will be offered at 6 p.m. Wednesday, May 23. There is no fee. Participants will talk about white-tailed deer and the impact they are having on native plants.
John Galluzzo, the adult education and citizen science coordinator for Mass Audubon's South Shore Sanctuaries, will discuss his recent book, "Half an Hour a Day Across Massachusetts: Finding Nature in Every Town in the Commonwealth," from 7 to 8 p.m. Thursday, May 24.
