Neponset Valley Chamber Hosts Small Business Workshop

The Neponset Valley Chamber of Commerce will host a "QuickBooks for Small Business" workshop from 8:30 to 11:30 a.m. Monday, Dec. 5 at the chamber office, 190 Vanderbilt Ave., Norwood.

Participants will learn tips that will streamline a business'
end-of-year preparation for tax season in a workshop sponsored by G.T. Reilly & Company.

The presenters will be QuickBooks Advanced Pro Advisor Gina Weinstock and Director of Tax Services Carol Magyar.

They will discuss what an accountant wants and how to organize it all in time, including:

• Merge duplicate vendor, customer and accounts

• Create an accountant's copy and import the accountant's changes

• Make adjusting journal entries

• Troubleshoot cash basis accounts receivable and payable balances

• Set a closing date to avoid changes to prior year financial statements

The event is free for members, $25 for non-members.
