Marjorie Claprood will present "Women in Politics," the next Conversation at the Meetinghouse, at 7 p.m. Dec. 2 at the Unitarian Church of Sharon.
Claprood will take a serious but fun look at women in politics, and sprinkle in personal experiences from her political, medical and media careers, tying observations on the advantages and disadvantages women have in the public arena, comparing and contrasting early pioneers like Margaret Chase Smith and current icons like former Speaker of the House Nancy Pelosi.
Claprood is a former state representative from Sharon, a
candidate for lieutenant governor in 1990, a radio talk show host locally and host of "Claprood Live" on the Lifetime Channel. She now runs Christina's and Christina's Fireside Grille in Foxborough with her husband Chris Spinazolla.
