Norwood Hospital’s 9th Annual 4-Mile Road Race and Walk will be held Saturday, Sept. 17. The race kicks off Norwood Day and will take place rain or shine.
Registration is from 7 to 8:30 a.m. at the front of the hospital, 800 Washington St., Norwood. The adult race starts at 9 a.m. and runs over a residential course. The first 150 adult entrants will receive long-sleeve T-shirts and gift bags.
The adult entry fee is $25 before Sept. 9 and $30 after. The running club entry fee is $20 per runner by Sept. 9, with a minimum of five runners registered.

Registration forms are available at NHRoadRace@Steward.org and the day of the race or by calling 781-278-6004.
Free Kids’ Fun Runs will be held before the start of the adult race. The races include a 50-yard dash for children up to age 6, at 8:30 a.m., and a race around the Bond Street loop for kids ages 7-12, starting at 8:45 a.m. Children must register the day of the race. All kids who enter the children’s races will receive T-shirts and medals.

Cash awards will be offered to the top three male and female finishers overall. Medals will be presented to the top three males and females in several age categories. Music and refreshments provided. The race is USATF sanctioned.
