NRT Harvest and Craft Fair

September 30, 2012 will mark the 39th year of the NRT’s annual Harvest and Craft Fair! A popular long-standing tradition, the Harvest Fair is a much anticipated fall event that people from around New England come to see each year. While Harvest Fair started as a small community gathering at its inception 39 years ago, it has grown over time to include two entertainment areas, dozens of local artisans and crafters, and lots of family-friendlyfood, and activities. From folk music to magic shows, this year’s Harvest Fair will keep everyone entertained throughout the day.

This year the new Responsible4Earth Auto Expo will be part of the Harvest Fair, and is a chance for local dealerships to showcase their most environmentally friendly vehicles. With the current interest in improving gas mileage and using alternative energies to fuel vehicles, autos such as the 100% electric Nissan Leaf and the Toyota Prius plug-in model will be on site so visitors can learn more about them. “We want to have something of interest for everyone at Harvest Fair,” says NRT executive director Jen Cummings, “and automobiles are an important part of most people’s lives. Helping people to learn about how cars can have less environmental impact is an important way to educate the community about the effect we all have on the environment.”

The NRT is proud of Harvest Fair’s long-standing presence in the community and appreciates the support of its sponsors. Thanks to the gernosity of primary Harvest Fair sponsor North Easton Savings Bank, as well as community sponsors Connolly Insurance, HarborOne Credit Union, and Sharkansky LLP, the Harvest Fair continues to grow. Thanks also to the Massachusetts Cultural Council and the local cultural councils for their support of Harvest Fair and the local artisans and entertainers who attend.
