Sharon Music Academy will present Michal Shein (cello) and Raquel Gorgojo (piano) in the concert "A Slew of Sonatas" at 4 p.m. July 9 at the academy, 112 North Main St.
Tickets are $20 for general admission, $10 for students and $7 for children.
This program will explore the development of the sonata through cello sonatas by Vivaldi, Haydn and Shostakovich.

Shein performs in Boston and worldwide. She is the principal cellist of Discovery Ensemble, and plays with the Boston Philharmonic Orchestra, The Harvard Baroque Chamber Orchestra, among others. She has performed in solo and orchestral concerts in such venues as Jordan Hall, Symphony Hall and Carnegie Hall.
Gorgojo, a Fulbright Scholar, has performed extensively in Boston and abroad and has collaborated with such noted musicians like Miriam Fried, Steve Schick and Todd Palmer. She is in the DMA program at Boston University.
