Covenant Congregational Church

The 10th Annual Easton Chamber Music Festival (ECMF) will return June 26–28, 2026, offering three free concerts that celebrate the richness and diversity of chamber music.
Founded to bring high-quality chamber music to the community, the festival presents both beloved classical masterworks and music by women composers, composers of color, and rarely performed composers. All concerts will take place at Covenant Congregational Church, 204 Center Street, Easton.
The festival’s renowned faculty artists will perform works by Oscar Navarro, Alfred Schnittke, Jacques Ibert, and Amy Beach on Friday, June 26, and music by Valerie Coleman, Samuel Barber, Dmitri Shostakovich, and Paul Juon on Saturday, June 27. Both concerts begin at 7:30 p.m., with pre-concert talks at 7:15 p.m.
In addition to the faculty performances, the festival serves as an intensive educational experience for musicians of all ages. This year, more than 40 participants from communities throughout Massachusetts and beyond will take part in the program.&nbsp;Reflecting the festival’s inclusive mission, participants span nearly eight decades in age, creating a uniquely intergenerational musical experience.
The festival will conclude with the Student Ensemble Showcase Concert on Sunday, June 28, at 5:00 p.m. The performance will feature festival participants who have spent the weekend rehearsing and receiving coaching from ECMF faculty artists.
All concerts are free and open to the public.
The Easton Chamber Music Festival is supported in part by grants and contributions from the Easton Cultural Council, Mansfield Cultural Council, Associated Chamber Music Players, Easton Lions Club, Covenant Congregational Church, Ames Free Library, and the generous support of local community members.

10th Annual Easton Chamber Music Festival Returns with Free Concerts June 26–28

Join poet Wendy Drexler and Dr. Rashmi Kaura of Hebrew SeniorLife’s Wolk Center for Memory Health for a virtual poetry reading and conversation about Drexler’s fourth collection, Harvest of What Remains. Through poetry and personal reflection, Harvest of What Remains shares Drexler’s experience caring for her husband as Alzheimer’s disease gradually changed their lives and relationship.
The program will explore how writing became a powerful tool for processing grief, stress, anger, fear, and moments of uncertainty throughout her caregiving journey. Together, Drexler and Dr. Kaura will discuss how poetry and reflective writing can offer comfort, insight, and emotional support to caregivers throughout the different stages of the caregiving journey.
Wendy Drexler is a recipient of a 2022 artist fellowship from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Her fourth collection, Harvest of What Remains, received honorable mention for the Paul Nemser Prize and was published in February 2026 by Lily Poetry Review Books. Her work has appeared in The Hudson Review, The Sun, and The Threepenny Review, among others. She was awarded the 2025 E.E. Cummings Prize from the New England Poetry Club, where she currently serves on the advisory board.
Rashmi Kaura, MD is a palliative care and geriatric specialist at the Deanna and Sidney Wolk Center for Memory Health. She is board certified in hospice and palliative care, geriatric medicine, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine. She completed her Bachelor of Science in pharmacology and basic medical sciences from King’s College in London, England. She received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery from King’s College School of Medicine and Dentistry. She completed her residency in internal medicine at Overlook Medical Center and her fellowship in geriatrics and palliative care at Mount Sinai Medical Center.
