Sturdy Memorial Hospital Offers Hatha Yoga Course

The Sturdy Memorial Hospital Nursing Education Department is sponsoring a six-week Hatha Yoga course beginning Wednesday, Feb. 29. 

The program is open to the public.

The yoga course will be offered in two sessions at 4 to 5 p.m. or 5:15 to 6:15 p.m. in the Clinical Education Center located in the hospital's main lobby.

Certified Hatha Yoga Instructor Mary Whelton will present the program, which is designed to help decrease stress and anxiety, increase flexibility and relaxation, and to enhance an overall feeling of wellness. 

The cost of the program is $65. Pre-registration is necessary. Participants need to bring a yoga mat and/or towel with them to each class.  For more information or to register, call Nursing Education at 508-236-7161.
