John Lee Discussing Experience in Afghanistan

Sharon resident and Sharon Zoning Board of Appeals Chairman John J. Lee will speak at a Sunday breakfast from 10 a.m. to noon May 20 at Temple Israel. The temple's Brotherhood is sponsoring the event.

Lee is assigned to the 26th Yankee Brigade with the Massachusetts Army National Guard. He recently returned after a year-long deployment to Kabul, Afghanistan, where he was the director of resource management, in charge of all contracts supporting operations in the Kabul area. He will speak about his experiences, the history of Afghanistan, the role the U.S. has played for the past 10 years and the hopes of both America and Afghanistan in this region.
