The Temple Sinai of Sharon Brotherhood's 7th Annual Sports Breakfast is from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday, Jan. 29 at Temple Sinai.
This year's featured guest speaker is former New England Patriots offensive guard Joe Andruzzi.
The Joe Andruzzi Foundation is very active in funding pediatric brain cancer research. Jen and Joe Andruzzi were active locally during Joe's football career with the Patriots, including visiting patients to lift their spirits. In 2003, the Andruzzis started the C.J. Buckley Brain Cancer Research Fund at Children;s Hospital Boston, years before battling cancer became personal.

On May 30, 2007, Joe was diagnosed with non-Hodgkin's Burkitt’s lymphoma, predicted to double in size within 24 hours. He had an aggressive chemotherapy treatment over several months both at Dana-Farber Cancer Institute and Brigham and Women's Hospital. By the fall of 2007, Joe was told that there was no sign of cancer in his body, and he remains cancer-free today.
The event will feature food, silent auction items, raffle prizes and the chance to purchase a picture for Joe to sign.
