Former Sharon resident Tamara Polzik will discuss her new book, "The Unforgettable: a Memoir," from 3 to 4 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 19 at the Sharon Public Library.
This memoir tells the story of 13-year-old Tamara, a girl from Leningrad. She spends her 1941 summer vacation in Belorussia with her grandmother. The war starts, Belorussia is occupied by the Nazis and Tamara finds herself alone. After months of unbelievable hardships, she is taken to a labor camp in Germany. A French family saves her from the cap and hides her. But all is not well yet.
This program is appropriate for kids 12 and up and for adults as well.
