
The Blue Hill Ski Area will hold a free Winter Festival and Chili Cook-Off from 5 to 8 p.m. Feb. 28.
There will be Irish music, and hot chili cooked by Boston chili masters. Guests can also check out the slopes and ski or snowboard under the lights. Naturalist Matt "Twig" Largess will lead a nighttime tour of the trails.
Blue Hill Ski is offering a discounted rate for an all-day eight-hours lift ticket for guests who RSVP to winterfestival@FriendsoftheBlueHills.org or print and bring the event page on Blue Hill's website with the discount code: http://friendsofthebluehills.org/?p=4628

The discounted rates are: Lift Ticket: $15 (regularly $29); Rental: $15 (regularly $28); Lesson: $15 (regularly $25).
Blue Hills Ski will donate $5 to the Friends of the Blue Hills for every discounted lift ticket sold.
