Global Sensory Delights Await You!
Just a few short weeks until the A Taste of Sharon's Diversity event on May 21 at Sharon High School!

The Lions Clubs International and the International Rotary Foundation are both celebrating 100 years throughout this year. Their “gift” to the town in commemoration of this milestone can be seen in the pole banner that are going up throughout the center of town. While both clubs knew how diverse and special the Town of Sharon truly is – it is amazing to see it represented in the banners. If you don't find a banner representing your heritage, you have not been forgotten! The "All are welcome here" banner is there to cover any and all cultures not shown on individual banners.
In addition, The Sharon Lions Club and the Rotary Club of Sharon are delighted to invite you to a celebration. In just a few short week, A Taste of Sharon’s Diversity will be here! Mark your calendars now for this exciting event – it is sure to be enjoyed by all ages. A Taste of Sharon’s Diversity will be held at the Sharon High School on Sunday, May 21 from 4:00-8:00 PM. Admission to this event is $20 per adult, $10 for teens age 13-18 and seniors age 65+, children age 12 and younger are free. All fees during the event go to offset the cost of the celebration and the banners that are hung throughout town center.
Spend your afternoon with us. As you roam the hallways of the school explore the beautiful photo exhibit, Sharon’s Many Traditions, shared by the Sharon Pluralism Network; take some time to find the flag representing your family’s heritage in the Hall of Flags, and take a selfie with the provided frames to share with friends and family; or locate your country of heritage on the scratch-able world map; add your wish to the Wishing Tree; solve the questions and collect the stamps to complete your event passport keepsake; enjoy the Cultural Art Fair put on by the high school’s Foreign Language Department; and be amazed by samples of the art work created by students from kindergarten through fifth grade for the Cottage Street School Fair – It’s A Small World. With an International Food Festival in the cafeteria and gym, raffle baskets from around the world to take a chance on, and the world festival of music and dance you will take home a new perspective for the diversity of Sharon.
