Mass Audubon's Moose Hill's EXHIBIT EXTENDED

We are delighted to extend the art exhibit Seeing Through the Trees, at Mass Audubon's Moose Hill's Gallery.

We are delighted to extend the art exhibit Seeing Through the Trees, at Mass Audubon’s Moose Hill’s Gallery. The clandestine, quiet beauty of nature and the elusive creatures within are explored in the new exhibit that showcases habitats surrounded with texture, colors and a diverse array of possibilities. Three artists, Art Donahue, Helen Lozoraitis and Lindsay Nygaard reveal their distinctive styles to invoke a magical, hidden world realized between the trees. Their imagery and passion are merged together through the medias of oil, acrylics, collage and photography.

Art Donahue combines his dual interest in technology and the intriguing aesthetics of photography with his fascination of the all the elements needed for a significant image. His traditional landscape imageries are "found" compositions created by nature, as viewed from his perspective.

Helen Lozoraitis photographs amazing creatures and beautiful places, interweaving these images from the real world with her fictional landscapes in a complex mixed media setting. This process gives her freedom to explore her personal connection with nature while respecting the realities of the physical world.

Lindsay Nygaard’s oil paintings create a feeling of simplicity, free of the daily, fast paced functions and demands of the world, yet still retain a feeling of complexity. There is a commanding respect and awe for the organisms that live day by day in an unpredictable and sometimes unforgiving environment.

The exhibit will run through February 26, 2018. The Gallery is open daily 10am-4pm and is located at 293 Moose Hill Parkway, Sharon, MA. Please visit www.massaudubon.org/moosehill or call 781-784-5691 for details.
