Patch Whiz Kid Of The Week: Emily Callan

Each week, Sharon Patch will seek suggestions from readers for individual kids, youth groups, teens, and even sports teams that wow us with their accomplishments. Ping pong may seem mundane in this era of computer games on cell phones.

Yet, more than 200 people may enjoy the game this Wednesday at the .

Thanks to eighth-grader Emily Callan.

Callan, 13, has organized this 2nd Annual Ping Pong Tournament. And all proceeds will benefit the Jimmy Fund.

The youth tourney runs from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., followed by the adults from 6:30 to 9:30 p.m.

The entrance fee is $15.  The first 200 registrants receive a free T-shirt.
