Pipeline Protest March in Sharon on July 14th - 15th

"People Over Pipeline" March - from Medway to Boston

From July 14th to 18th, hundreds of Massachusetts residents will be marching along the routes of Spectra’s proposed fracked gas pipeline projects all the way to the steps of the Massachusetts State House, to demand that Governor Baker and the state legislature oppose new gas pipelines and the pipeline tax. This will be a clear message to our elected officials that the people of Massachusetts are ready to do whatever they can to stop any new and unnecessary fossil fuel infrastructure.

The public is encouraged to show their support all along the route as the marchers pass, and at the stops and the rallies, and anyone is welcome to join the march for whatever distance they can. For more information about this important march, and to confirm the final street routes and stop times, please visit www.PeopleOverPipelines.org (/route and /schedule), as there may be last minute changes.

The march protesting the Spectra Access Northeast Q1 Loop (Bellingham through Canton) will begin in Medway on Thursday, July 14th, and go through Millis, Norfolk, Walpole, and Sharon for overnight. Leaving Walpole center after a 4:45 Rest and Refresh stop, the marchers will proceed on Rt. 27, right on Moose Hill St., left on Moose Hill Pkwy, left on Upland Rd, and onto Rt. 27 Depot Rd. into Sharon Center, arriving at about 7:30 p.m. To join the marchers, meet at MAS Moose Hill at 6:30 for the 2 miles into town.

At about 9:30 on Friday, July 15th, the marchers will go north on Rt. 27, past Cobbs Corner, and continue on Rt. 27 Central St. into Stoughton.
