Police Log: Late Night Chainsaws, Car vs. Sign, and More

September 14

11:36 a.m. – A motor vehicle accident involving a hydrant at Bayberry Road was reported. When police arrived, no one was with the vehicle.

1:57 p.m. – An injured raccoon was reported at the intersection of South Main and Wolomolopoag Streets.

2:24 a.m. – A person running a chainsaw on Moose Hill Parkway was reported.

6:50 p.m. – A heavy smell of gas was reported around the intersection of High Plain and Moose Hill Streets.

9:13 p.m. – Police received a noise complain concerning a utility company working near the intersection of Queens Circle and Eisenhower Drive.

10:33 p.m. – A possible dead deer near the intersection of Massapoag Avenue and Mansfield Street was reported.

September 16

1:36 a.m. – Spray paint was reported on the back of a building on Pond Street.

2:11 a.m. – A worker hit the exit pole in the Shaw’s parking lot on South Main Street and knocked it down.

2:42 a.m. – The use of a chainsaw was reported on Valley Road.

5:58 a.m. – Police received a noise complaint on Bayberry Drive.

7:10 a.m. – The strong smell of gas was reported at the intersection of Station and Depot Streets.

4:41 p.m. – A noise complaint was received on Richards Avenue.

7:40 p.m. – Noise from behind the Cottage Street School was reported.

10:07 a.m. – Gunshots were reported from Forge Road.
